Meet Dr. Niesha Davis-Massey

Dr. Niesha Davis-Massey is the Owner and Clinical Director of InspireMe Counseling and Wellness Center and InspireMe Counseling and Psychotherapy, Inc., where she leads with compassion, expertise, and a deep-rooted mission to inspire holistic healing.
She is the author of Your Story Does Not Define You: A Healing Journey from Trauma Through Expression and Self-Affirmation, which empowers readers to reclaim their narratives and embrace healing and personal growth from trauma. Dr. Davis-Massey is also the creator and host of Your Story Does Not Define You The Podcast, and on this platform guides conversations that empower listeners to embrace their stories and find hope and healing from the hurt and pain of their past.
Dr. Davis-Massey holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master’s in Social Work, and a Doctorate in Theology with an emphasis in Christian Counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Evangelist, Certified Anger Management Specialist II, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She is also certified as a mental health provider for women experiencing perinatal and postnatal mood disorders.

A native of California, Dr. Davis-Massey has made a lasting impact in her community through strategic collaborations, community outreach, and facilitating wellness-focused workshops. She has also been blessed with the opportunity to preach and teach the Word of God, seamlessly integrating spiritual guidance with education on mental and emotional health within her church community. Dr. Niesha’s clinical and spiritual reach extends across a wide spectrum. She has worked extensively with individuals, children, youth, adults, couples, and families in diverse settings—including private practice, medical social work, psychiatric facilities, corrections, hospice care, and educational environments.
Dr. Davis-Massey’s passion for trauma work fuels her compassion about helping others navigate life's challenges and fostering resilience. She believes in the power of connection, trust, and creating safe spaces for healing and lifting her clients up in prayer behind the scene. Her guiding philosophy is: "It’s okay not to be okay. Everyone needs someone who can provide hope, courage, strength, and support during difficult times." Dr. Niesha feels blessed to be that someone for so many people.
Through her therapeutic trauma work and as a healing coach, Dr. Davis-Massey empowers clients with the tools to enhance their quality of life and achieve a transition from surviving to thriving by embracing their mental and emotional healing. She is committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental and emotional health and encourages individuals to seek professional help when needed.
For Dr. Davis-Massey, her work is a gift, a calling and a ministry and thanks God everyday for trusting her.
